At Oncogene Cancer Research, patient empowerment means providing clear, trustworthy information alongside real lived experience — so patients and care partners feel informed, supported and less alone.

Long-form conversations with patients, care partners, clinicians, and researchers. These episodes combine lived experience with medically vetted education, helping to demystify topics such as biomarker testing, treatment decisions, shared decision-making, and living with lung cancer.

Every patient story is a reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person with a life, a voice, and a future worth fighting for. Our patient stories honour the lived experiences of those affected by lung cancer, sharing moments of fear, courage, advocacy, and hope.
By bringing these stories together with accurate, patient-centred context, we aim to inform, empower and inspire — helping others feel seen, understood, and less alone, while highlighting the importance of research, biomarker testing, and personalised treatment.

Clear, accessible educational resources are hosted on our website, including information on biomarkers and biomarker testing, treatment and care considerations - like cardiotoxcity, and links to trusted biomarker groups and our own private forum for our community members. All resources are designed to support informed conversations with care teams.

A private, moderated patient and caregiver group that offers peer support, shared understanding, and a safe space for questions, reflection, and connection beyond public platforms.
Together, these efforts are designed to support patients and care partners at every stage — from diagnosis through treatment and beyond — helping them feel more confident, more informed, and supported by a community that understands.
