Charity ball.

Together, we raised

£35,000 for research.

What an incredible night!

On Saturday, 1st November, at the Bristol Hotel we came together for the first-ever Oncogene Cancer Research Charity Ball — a night of fine dining, entertainment, and fundraising to support life-changing lung cancer research.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and supported our inaugural Charity Ball, we raised £35,000 in proceeds — with all proceeds going directly towards vital oncogene-driven lung cancer research.

Your kindness and commitment are helping us fund the breakthroughs that will change lives and bring hope to families affected by this vastly underfunded cancer.

Ways to continue to help.

The Charity Ball may be over, but our mission continues — and we need your help to keep the momentum going. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, helps fund life-changing research and support for people living with oncogene-driven lung cancers.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate monthly – Even £10 a month fuels the next step in vital research. Set up regular donation here.

  • Shop via Easyfundraising – Raise funds effortlessly while you do your regular online shopping. Sign up here.

  • Introduce us to a potential corporate sponsor – your introduction could help fund the next research breakthrough. Get in touch here.

  • Volunteer your time – Share your skills, lend a hand at events, or help raise awareness. Get in touch here.

  • Spread the word – Follow, share, and comment on our social media posts. We’re on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and BlueSky. Every activity helps us spread our reach.

✨ Every action fuels research, strengthens patient voices, and moves us closer to earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and brighter futures.

A big thanks to our host: Alex Lovell

We were thrilled to have Alex Lovell as our host for the evening. A familiar face across the South West, Alex has presented regional news for ITV News West Country and previously anchored BBC Points West for over 15 years.

Now a freelance presenter, writer, and performer, Alex brought her signature warmth, charisma, and genuine connection to the stage — perfectly setting the tone for a night filled with hope, generosity, and community.

We’re so grateful to Alex for supporting life-saving research into oncogene-driven lung cancers.
